Most of the time you will be at the mercy of the sun or weather and makes the photo-graphing buildings a challenge. Some things can be done in the lab but initially you must begin with the best possible shot.
In the example of the Old School House I was unable to shoot without the tree getting in the way. In order to pre-serve the focal point of the building, its bell tower, some of the branches need to be removed.
