What it's about?

Macro photography is generally life size or larger. Macro lenses are designed for close-ups by using extension tubes or long barrels and are capable of reproducing a 1:1 ratio (a ratio greater than 1:1 is called Photo Microscopy). Because the lens must be so close to the subject, one of the inherent problems with Macro Photography can be less depth of field and lighting.
